Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of musobook, the gig songbook app for bands (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Service
musobook lets you and your band store chord charts, tabs and uploaded sheet music for your songs, transpose them, build set lists, and read them on stage in Performance mode. Some features may change, be added or be removed over time as the Service evolves.
Your account
You need an account to use musobook. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us straight away at admin@musobook.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
Bands, roles and invitations
A band is a shared space you create or are invited into. Whoever creates a band is its Admin and can invite others, assign roles and remove members. An Editor can add and change songs, charts and set lists. A read-only member can view and perform, but not edit. Admins are responsible for who they invite and what role they grant - musobook doesn't vet band membership on your behalf.
Your content
You keep ownership of the songs, charts, tabs, lyrics, uploaded sheets and other material you add to musobook ("Your Content"). By adding it, you grant musobook a licence to store, host, display and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the bands you share it with - including generating shared set-list links you choose to create. You're responsible for Your Content and for having the right to upload and share it.
Copyrighted songs
Most bands use musobook to write out chord charts and tabs for cover songs written by other people. musobook is a tool for your own rehearsal and performance notes - it doesn't grant you any rights to the underlying compositions, lyrics or recordings, and it's your responsibility to make sure your use of third-party songs complies with applicable copyright law.
Acceptable use
Please don't use musobook to store or share unlawful, infringing or abusive material, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Service, or use it in a way that could harm other bands or users.
Pricing
musobook is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in future, we'll give existing users reasonable advance notice before any charge applies to their account.
Suspension & termination
You can stop using musobook and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing admin@musobook.app. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for accounts that breach these Terms or put other users at risk.
The Service "as is"
musobook is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, musobook won't be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including loss of content, revenue or opportunity to perform.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by posting the updated Terms here and updating the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use musobook after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction say otherwise.
